The shortcut keys are the shortcut ways of performing various of function without touching the mouse.

You can use shortcut keys as an alternative to the mouse when working in Microsoft Powerpoint

You can open, close, and navigate the menu, using keyboard shortcuts. Keyboard shortcuts may also make it easier for you to interact with your computer.

List of all shortcut Keys in Microsoft Powerpoint

Slide show control

N, ENTER, PAGE DOWN, RIGHT ARROW, DOWN ARROW or the SPACE BAR

Perform the next animation or advance to the next slide.

P, PAGE UP, LEFT ARROW, UP ARROW OR BACKSPACE

Perform the previous animation or return the previous slide.

  1. <Number>+ Enter        :      Go to Slide <number>
  2. B or PERIOD               :      Display a blank Screen, or Return to the Slide show.
  3. W or COMMA             :      Display a white Screen, or Return to the Slide show.
  4. S or PLUS SIGN          :      Stop or restart an automatic Slide show.
  5. ESC, CTRL+ BREAK :      End a Slide show.
  6. E                                   :      Erase on screen annotation
  7. T                                   :      Set new timings while rehearsing
  8. O                                  :       Use original timings while rehearsing
  9. M                                 :       Use mouse-thick to advance while rehearsing

Keys for working with presentations

  1. CTRL+N                     :           Create a new presentation
  2. CTRL+M                    :           Insert a new slide
  3. CTRL+D                     :           Make a copy of the selected slide
  4. CTRL+O                     :           Open a presentation
  5. CTRL+W                    :           Close a presentation
  6. CTRL+P                      :           Print a presentation
  7. CTRL+S                      :           Save a presentation
  8. F5                               :           Run a presentation
  9. ALT+F4                      :           Quit PowerPoint
  10. CTRL+F                      :           Find text, formatting, and special
  11. CTRL+H                     :           Replace text, specific formatting,
  12. F7                               :           Check spelling
  13. ESC                             :           Cancel an action
  14. F6                               :           Switch to the next pane (Clockwise)
  15. SHIFT+F6                  :           Switch to the next previous pane  (Anti-Clockwise)

Keys for Selecting text and objects:

  1. CTRL+A                :        All objects
  2. CTRL+A                :        All slides
  3. CTRL+A                :        All text
  4. SHIFT+F               :        Display a shortcut menu that shows a list of commands relevant
